Last Minute Gifts

I needed a little "sumpin sumpin" for a couple of friends. I always save those little plastic cartons and never seem to use them. I pulled out a couple and decorated them very simple. A little striped paper scrap and a couple of pieces and ribbon. Then filled each of them with m&m's. I hope you can tell what shape they are from the picture, one is flat and the other has a larger square indent. Pretty easy.....

Office Party

Today was the office Christmas luncheon. There was around 25 of us. As I sat there and looked across all the faces of my co-workers I thought, how blessed I was to work with all of them. This is a really nice group of people. How many of you get to work with people who really care about you? Check us out at www.eastsideveterinaryhospital.com.

Tiny Little Boxes

I created these tiny little boxes from an Accut at Croppinsville. Each box has a little extra decoration on top. I plan on putting little chocolate candy bars in each box. They are a little bigger than a match box.

Home for the Holidays

I love the way my house looks for the holidays. This year I found the cutest plates at Hobby Lobby. They are black and white with red bulbs on them. I found red glitter bulbs and tiny red beads and hung them from my light in the dining room/ scraproom. I Think it turned out pretty good. The rest of the house is done in western stuff. I love coming home to the tree all a glow and the fireplace burning.

New Techniques.

Last week I went to Croppinsville to learn a new technique. Look at this tag I made.!!! This tag was made with alcohol inks. Allie is a great teacher. I think it looks like snow capped mountains in the background. The tree stamp is from Tim Holtz, which I just black embossed.

First Year Book

This is a little album I made for my grandson Ruger. It has a place for a picture on one page then growth information on the other side. The album is full of rockets, bikes and all things boyish. Ruger is a ruff and tuff likke guy it fits him well. I had forgotten about this little book. Ruger is now almost 2 now. I am looking forward to seeing the album with all the pictures in it.

Eye Surgery

Well, after a year of watery eyes I finally had surgery. The doctor went in and cleaned out both tear ducts. I have a tube in the left eye. I look pretty bad but, the end results should be great. If you see me in public, No I have not been in a wreck. The hard part is not touching it or blowing my nose for a month. On top of it all I now have a cold of some kind. Thank you for all your prayers and blessings.

Family

Last night I sat in front of the fire and just listened. I heard the sound of family, Teenagers Josh, Kaleb, Ethan, Erika and Hannah talking in the back ground, with the occasional girl giggle and my daughter working on a project. I love my family and being their mom. If anyone wants to know what love is , this is it! I am very blessed. I thank God for every moment I have with them.

Birthday Calendar

I make stuff and usually give them away before I take pictures. Here is the project I'm working on now. Birthday Calendar. I am famous for getting birthdays wrong or missing them, so I'm creating a calendar I can use year after year. I made one for a class a long time ago, but sold mine. This one is for me. It will fit in a brochure holder or I can bind it at the top and hang on the way. I will post more pictures as I get them done.

December

This blog thing is new to me. I will try to post pictures of my scrapbooking and family on a regular basis. My thoughts and random stuff should break up the boredom.

Christmas will be here very soon and I haven't sent out my cards yet. I made them this year so that slowed me down a little bit. The house is decorated and the fireplace is going. I love the time i get with my family over the holidays. Having my daughter at home has been a very big blessing. She is now looking for a house to rent in mid-town, which really suits her style. I will miss her, but she's ready to have her own space again. The bright side of her moving is I get my scraproom back again. Soon it will be just Josh, the dogs and I alone in the house. (if you call that alone).

Everyone stay warm and enjoy your family this holiday.
